Arthritis Pain Relief : Questions To Ask Your Healthcare Pro
A great place to begin taking charge of you arthritis pain relief and prevention planning is by making an appointment with your healthcare provider and finding out more about your condition and treatment options.
Make sure to jot down questions ahead of time, and take them along in your journal or notebook, armed with a pencil to fill in his or her replies.
Some questions to begin with may be centered around these:
1. Do I have a form of arthritis? If not, what is wrong & what do I do next?
2. If so, which type is it? And what can I expect short-term and long-term?
3. What pain relief treatments are available? Which have side affects & what are they?
4. What self-care solutions do you advise?
5. Are there any limitations I should know about; i.e. special dietary issues, special activities to avoid, any OTC meds to NOT mix, etc.?
6. What resources do you have to help with my diet and exercise planning?
7. What other arthritic and other health resources do you have for my family and me?
When you take in your questions, also take in a description of your symptoms so that your doctor can help better understand your situation and health.
Make sure to note:
- Where you have pain (same joint both limbs?)
- When you feel pain - with certain activities, in the morning, when it rains, etc.
- How long you have had the pain
- If the pain increases or decreases, comes and goes, etc.
- The type & intensity level of pain - stabbing, dull, cramping, stiffness - and low, mild or high pain
- Note any limitations - can't bend over too far without pain, can't get out of car, etc.
- Share any family history of arthritis
- Tell about any OTC or prescription medications or other treatments you currently take or use.
- Discuss any special diet you are on and exercise programs
So try the different options available for arthritis pain relief and prevention.
Give your joints a break as soon as possible from any excess weight they're hauling around, even if it's the weight of excess stress.
Lighten up and make pain relief and prevention care part of your normal, everyday routine.

The Perfect 35 Minute Workout
Most of the physical fitness trainers, and coaches agree thatdoing some sort of resistance training, and cardio training, setsup a good foundation for all around fitness. What most peoplelike to do is alternate days. M-W-F do resistance training and onTues-thurs-sat do aerobic training or some other variation.Nowthis is not a bad thing but it can be very time consuming and forpeople who have real busy lives it might be hard to make thiskind of commitment.I say why not do both in one training session? Now I am notsaying to do both in the same day. I am talking about doing aworkout for about 30-40 minutes that gives you resistance andcardio for that time frame. Instead of making them separate, combine them into a more efficient workout.Another words you perform a resistance exercise, it could be yourown bodyweight, weights, cables, tubing, it doesn't matter.Immediately after this is completed you perform a cardiomovement. It could be running in place, jumping jacks, squatthrusts, anything that is aerobic for about (30) seconds, andthen continue on to the next movement. Doing say 6-8 resistanceexercises and in between (30 seconds of aerobics) for let's say3 sets. Now these 3 sets are without resting you are continuallymoving for roughly 35 minutes.Let me give you an example: Let's use weights. 1}.10 reps oflunges, then run in place. 2} 10 reps of squats, then run inplace. 3}.10 reps of bicep curls, now run in place. 4} 10 repsof dips or pushups, now run in place. You can choose any exerciseyou want just hit all major bodyparts. Like I said choose 6-8resistance exercises and 30 seconds of aerobics and do at least3 sets alternating. This is fat burning exercise.Believe me when I tell you this is not for the faint of heart. You will be breathing heavily quickly. The beauty is it savestime and cuts workout time in half. When I first tried this Idid make it thru the 3 sets but it wasn't easy. If you have tostop do so. Catch a breadth and then complete it. You willgradually improve as you keep doing this exercise protocol. Now for the people who don't have weights at home or do not wantto do this at their local workout establisment, or are justlooking for a change of pace, I have found the perfectalternative. A complete system for under $50. For men and women. You get a 3 cable color system for tension, a video to followalong,a manual, and travel bag. It's very portable. And theworkout you get in 35 minutes is fabulous. The name of thisproduct is {BODYLASTICS}. You should really check this out.http://www.bodylastics.com/?img=3&kbid=118When I am pressed for time and want a killer workout this iswhat I use.
